Other ways to help
- Attend a protest. Being physically present at a protest is a great way to help increase visibility for this cause. You should be able to find a protest in your community to attend. Just make sure you stay safe – we recommend attending during the day – and to let black voices take the lead.
- Call out racism when you see it. It’s not enough for white people to simply avoid racist behavior themselves. It’s the responsibility of white Americans to call out racism when they see it – even if it’s coming from a friend or someone in your family.
- Educate yourself. Read books by black authors. Watch films made by black people. And support the community by frequenting black-owned businesses.
