While looking for a career or new position, there are many options to help job seekers. First, take advantage of the amount of information available on blogs. Knowing what is going on in the industry you are interested in is helpful; this can help you focus on what interests you and think of questions to ask during interviews. Managers prefer talking to candidates who understand the market. If you don’t know where to start when looking for the latest in tech sales, check out the following blogs to follow while on the job hunt below.

TechCrunch

TechCrunch might be the go-to website for any job seeker looking to break into tech sales. Keep an eye out for companies raising money to hire and companies doing unusual things in new spaces. Here’s one post that caught our eye: Drawbridge raises $25M as it takes its cross-device tech beyond advertising.

The Muse

For From companies hiring right now to job search tips, The Muse covers everything. This blog is a great spot for job seekers who don’t know exactly what they want to do. If you don’t have experience dealing with cover letters and email follow-ups, they offer tips and formats. Here’s a good blog post to check out first: “How to List Online Courses on Your Resume the Right Way (Because Yes There is a Wrong Way).”

Forbes

Forbes has a lot of interview and resume advice for anyone on the job hunt. For career switchers or new graduates, Forbes is a great resource. Read “How to Find and Use a Mentor,” for some helpful tips.

Feedly is a news search engine that focuses on key words you choose. On the job hunt, searching for “tech,” “hiring,” or “sales,” should get you on the right path for articles relevant to what you’re looking for.

Venture Beat

Venture Beat is a great source for information on startups in the tech world, as well as venture capital companies. Knowing where VCs are focusing their attention is a great indication of new companies or industry-changing products that are on the rise. Here’s an article about a newly seeded company on the rise: Email authentication startup ValiMail comes out of stealth with $1.5 million.

Hubspot
