6 Days in Office?

The Betts Team
May 12, 2025

It’s a Real Trend. And It’s Sparking Conversation.

We’re seeing something surprising. Multiple clients are now asking for six days a week in the office.Yes, six. That was not a typo. We’ve had six companies bring it up in the last few weeks alone, with more conversations popping up across the board. The reason most commonly cited? “Culture.”

Company profile: Early seed/Series A startups, across industries — but especially in verticalized AI.

It’s definitely not the norm. And it’s not something we’ve seen widely adopted. But the fact that it’s being discussed this often makes us think it’s worth talking about. The thinking seems to be:

For SDRs and entry-level roles: being surrounded by teammates can help with training, productivity, and accountability.
For AEs: it’s about presence—showing commitment and staying closely connected to leadership.
For early-stage startups: founders believe having everyone in the room—even on weekends—creates alignment, focus, and speed.

Is this a temporary experiment? A post-pandemic pendulum swing?

We’re watching this new trend closely and opening up the conversation. So we’re curious:

Would you join a company asking for six days in office?
If you’re a hiring leader, would you ever require it?
Where’s the line between culture-building and burnout risk?
Does it improve productivity?

Let us know what you think. This is one we’re going to keep a close eye on.
