Head of Learning & Development

As the Head of Training and Development at Betts Recruiting, you’ll own all aspects of our enablement, training, and development of our quickly growing team. While we’ve already established a strong foundation, we’re looking for you to partner directly with our CEO and leadership across the organization to build the next iteration of sales, management and continuous IC training.

You will identify opportunities, knowledge and skill gaps, and the tools the team can leverage to uplevel. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing management and ongoing training programs, and partner with internal teams to create and package playbooks, training decks, demos and more.


  • Research, develop and introduce experiential learning methods to include, but not limited to, online interactive e-learning, microlearning, blended learning, action learning, self-study, social and live instructor-led and virtual learning as it best suits the need, audience and learning objectives at hand.
  • Maintain strong relationships within the organization across many functional departments and act as the main point of contact for all learning and informational needs, ensuring teams manage assigned curricula, conducting analyses to identify performance gaps and recommending training solutions that meet the business objectives and the successful execution of training for the organization.
  • Coordinate an effective marketing strategy to promote training.
  • Iterate on existing materials and develop new L&D content.
  • Consult with leadership and senior managers to assess their learning needs; provide solutions with existing programs, outsourcing or developing customized training programs and learning experiences
  • Engage, coach and support our senior leadership to develop great careers within the team
  • Innovate and evolve our L&D approach to implement strategies that support the modern learner
  • Support the development of a culture and L&D framework that allow for employees to feel cared for, respected and valued and where open and productive relationships exist between the management and the employees
  • Develop measures of success (including appropriate metrics) around participant progression, efficiencies of programing and overall program delivery.


  • A minimum of 6+ years experience in a Leadership Development or Senior L&D role
  • Exceptional communication skills complemented by a coaching and growth mindset.
  • Ability to influence disparate groups.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Extremely organized with a strong sense of priority, urgency, and commitment to deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and creative when it comes to process improvement.
  • Experience developing a variety of learning modalities such as eLearning, performance support aids, online tutorials, and collaborative learning environments.
  • Passionate about the employee experience and environment  
  • Ability to teach and train various subjects to individuals and small groups
