Business Development Manager

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our dynamic, collaborative, work hard/play hard team to focus on new client acquisition and expansion in our territories. We are looking for people who enjoy meeting with C-level executives, decision makers and hiring managers on a daily basis, marketing our brand and building long-term relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to work with the hottest, most innovative companies in technology and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience and a proven track record of success in business development, sales, or recruiting, startup or tech experience preferred
  • A passion for sales and being in a sales culture
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining organization and sharp attention to detail
  • Able to deliver consistent results in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing startup environment
  • Tech savvy and committed to an ongoing use of a CRM
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solution-oriented
  • Excellent attitude and ability to collaborate with a team
  • Self-starter who actively pursues new avenues to drive business and nurtures existing relationships
  • High degree of professionalism
  • A great teammate who works well in a competitive environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to quickly establish deep, genuine, relationships
  • Proven track record of forecasting and meeting and exceeding quota expectations
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 

Within 4 weeks you will:

  • Be put through our two week, in-house training program
  • Research prospects to help us identify companies that should be using Betts Services
  • Be able to articulate the Betts value proposition to decision makers to create and assess interest
  • Attend at least 3 networking events
  • Shadow other business development managers throughout the sales process

Within 6 to 8 weeks you will:

  • Set up appointments with C-Level Executives and Hiring Managers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospect to close
  • Have closed your deal
  • Deliver above-and-beyond client experience through phone, email, and in-person communication
  • Grow new client relationships by analyzing, building, and managing your sales pipeline
  • Cultivate and qualify new inbound leads that turn into quality opportunities
  • Be an industry EXPERT
