Account Executive Segment Director

Betts Recruiting is looking for a hands-on Segment Director to lead our AE Recruiting Team in New York. In this role you will manage a team of eight sales recruiters and help them meet the needs of our clients and candidates. Ability to prioritize workload for your team, and develop process efficiencies are a must. This position will regularly interface and exchange information with other segments with a demonstrated understanding of how hiring impacts revenue goals.


  • Hiring, mentoring and professionally developing a team of AE recruiters who are responsible for helping our clients meet their hiring goals.
  • Continually evaluating recruiting processes and procedures to find opportunities for improvements.
  • Inspiring and leading a team of recruiters to hire top-level talent in a fast-paced and rapidly scaling business through consistent coaching and development.
  • Working closely with your team to help coach with time management, organization, working deals, managing process, metrics-attainment, and professional development
  • Identifying process improvement opportunities and championing streamlined practices, workflows, and metrics to measure success
  • Collaborating with Managing Director, Business Development and the extended team to contribute to the overall sales recruiting strategy.
  • You will maintain standardized full-cycle recruiting processes and tools to ensure best practice..
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to ensure familiarity with the recruitment process; share data and progress through quarterly business reviews.
  • Developing and maintaining an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure the achievement of team goals.
  • Overseeing the team’s metrics and performance in utilization of Betts Connect, Salesforce and all appropriate metrics tracking reports, working with MD, VP of Finance and Sales Operations for maximum efficiency.


  • Bachelor’s degree or years of equivalent work experience
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a recruiting management capacity, 2+ years in Sales Management, preferred but not required
  • Prior experience managing teams or 3+ direct reports.
  • Experience and success in executing a consultative recruiting process. Full-cycle preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with the high-tech space
  • Knowledge of reporting, data analysis, and understanding of talent acquisition metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to take feedback and build strong productive relationships.
  • Technical expertise to be able to demonstrate the product and explain the business and economic benefits.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
  • Technology-savvy: ideally, with experience with Salesforce, Google Suite, Slack
  • Possessing a high EQ and a demonstrated pattern of positively mentoring others around you.
  • Must work out of NY Office
